Description Schlegel Aquamac 124 and the Aquatex Seal provides an effective weather seal for doors and windows. The seal is particularly suitable for facades, tilt and turn openings in timber windows. Schlegel Aquamac 124 is a kerf slotted seal, suitable for sealing gaps of 5-8mm. When fitted in four cut lengths it is important to create a tight mitre joint to ensure high levels of window performance. Joints can be enhanced with a small amount of silicone mastic. The AQ124 is made of a unique combination of materials and provides the highest standard of sealing, even under extreme conditions. The polyurethane foam seal has excellent weather sealing properties, offering superior recovery performance and high durability backed with a lifetime guarantee. The polyethylene film provides weather and UV resistance, whilst the polypropylene insert prevents elongation and shrinkage. Additionally, the AQ124 seal is resistant to paint and stains, unaffected by rot, mould or mildew and can withstand temperature of 70C to -30C. The embossed exterior is resistant to contamination and the Aquamac 124 is also compatible with cleaning agents. This cost-effective foam Schlegel window seal has been extensively tested by independently certified test facilities, clearly demonstrating its outstanding weather and acoustic performance. It also retains its normal operational performance after 10,000 window and/or door opening and closing cycles. The AQ124 is available in either a white, black or brown colour and is supplied per metre or in whole coils of 125 metres.
